Volunteers of America-Acadiana Programs serves all of Acadiana which includes: Lafayette, Iberia, Acadia, Vermilion, St. Landry, St. Martin, & Evangeline Parishes. Through our seven specialized divisions of programs, we provide critical social services to over TEN thousand of south Louisiana’s most vulnerable populations: individuals with chronic mental illness, the chronically homeless, preschool children, the elderly, and adults with mental disabilities.
Housing Options:Housing services range from independent living to 24-hour supervised residential care in one of our two staffed facilities for 44 clients.
Treatment Programs:Provide services addressing severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders. Crisis stabilization, customized behavior management counseling.Our ultimate goal is to help the people we serve make informed life-choices.
PATH:Provides the support that homeless individuals need, such as referrals to housing and supportive services.
Supported Living Services:Direct support professionals help people with daily living skills within the family home, or by helping develop the necessary life skills to live successfully in their own home.
Support Coordination/Aging with Options: We assist qualified seniors with obtaining a full range for services to improve quality of life and remain in their homes.
Partnerships in Childcare: We support over 250 preschools and child care centers in 15 parishes servicing over 9,000 children.
