BOSSIER CITY, LA
It’s an exciting time to be a member of the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce. This Fall, during their Annual Conference, The St. Landry Chamber was recognized by the Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Executives (LACCE) as an Accredited Chamber of Commerce. The Accreditation recognizes organizational excellence and is held by just 13 Chambers of Commerce across Louisiana.
The St. Landry Chamber has worked for nearly two years to modernize and develop their organizational programming to meet the standard for LACCE Accreditation under the leadership of CEO, Raquella Manuel. “It is truly an honor to see a goal like \accreditation finally come to fruition,” said Manuel. “This is an achievement not just for the Chamber office, but also for our Board of Directors and most importantly our membership. Without their support, our growth and progress would not be possible.”
The LACCE Organization is the only organization in the State that offers formal Accreditation for Chambers of Commerce and is governed by a Board of Directors Representing the various districts across Louisiana. Tiffany Ott, Executive Director of LACCE expressed the rigorous standards of the Accreditation in a statement.
“The purpose of the program is to facilitate continuing excellence in the chamber industry and to foster a pro-business environment across the state,” said Ott. “Chambers must meet standards in organization, service intent and capacity, professional administration, financial management, communications, and advocacy to achieve the designation.”
A total of five Chamber of Commerce were recognized during this year’s Annual Conference. Along with St. Landry Chamber of Commerce, the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce, and West Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce together make up the 2018 class of LACCE Accredited Chambers. With over 75 Chambers of Commerce and Business Associations across the State of Louisiana. Just 13 Chambers of Commerce hold Accreditation with LACCE.
