The Refinery Mission Hosts Annual Golf Classic
CARENCRO, LA- The Refinery Mission of Opelousas presents their annual Refinery Classic Golf Tournament, being held June 14 at the Farm D’ Allie Golf Club, which will focus on connecting communities and driving support through a fun-filled day of golf that benefits men in transition.
Community service and support is a gift that any resident in St. Landry Parish can give. The Refinery Mission, an organization that serves men in transition through Christ-centered services, creates opportunities such as these all year long. One of their biggest annual events is the Classic Golf Tournament, where all the proceeds go to serving their residents and accomplishing their mission of being a catalyst for men in transition.
Thriving on community support and partnerships, the tournament this year is fully sold out on teams and planned to have a packed house. The event will take place on Monday, June 14 at the Farm D’ Allie Golf Club in Carencro. Participants registered in groups of four will compete in the tournament and play 18-holes of golf. All participants are welcome to come out for lunch and warmups at 11:30am before the tournament begins. Tee time will start at 1pm and last approximately five hours. A day with food, prizes and fun that any one of your friends, family members and co-workers can enjoy.
“This tournament has been a huge blessing for our organization,” said Johnny Carriere, the Executive Director of The Refinery Mission. “Our Acadiana community has been fantastic in supporting us. We are looking forward to a great time of celebrating our community, the refinery mission and what our mission means to us.”
Be sure to come out to Carencro and enjoy an afternoon playing golf and showing support for our local communities and organizations. To learn more about the tournament, activities and registration, visit their website at http://refinerymission.org/
