• St. Landry Chamber Casino Night & Banquet Opening Nominations

After last year’s success, the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual St. Landry Chamber Casino Night & Banquet on April 23 at the Yambilee Arena from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will celebrate the growth of St. Landry for its members and the community while spotlighting their achievements with the Business of the Year Awards and Ambassador of the Year Award.

With various live entertainment, food, raffles, roulette and crap tables, and all new awards, the St. Landry Chamber Casino Night & Banquet and its members are excited for another year of fun.

“The St. Landry Chamber Casino Night & Banquet is one of our biggest events of the year and we couldn’t be more excited for this one,” Raquella Manuel, President & CEO St. Landry Chamber of Commerce said. “This event will showcase all of the wonderful things our members of the community have done this year.”

During the events at the chamber’s casino night, join in as they celebrate the night's honorees, nominated and voted on by members of the community.

Nominations for Business of the Year Awards begin on March 12. Visit the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce’s website to submit your nominations for both big and small Member of the Year.

Nominees must be members in good standing with the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce and have been in business for at least three years. Businesses that have received the Business of the Year Award must wait three years before being eligible.

Nominations should express how the business maintains success, best business practices, provides support and participation in community events and support, and demonstrate innovation and job creation in their business.

Nominations are open-ended but with 200-500 words. Nominations will be utilized to select finalists and be featured on the voting ballot webpage. The Chamber reserves the right to review or edit nominations before being featured on the ballot.

“We’re excited for this year’s nominees for our Business of the Year Awards,” Manuel said. “They all play an important role in making the community of St. Landry the best it can be.”
