St. Landry Chamber Recognized by Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Executives
Lake Charles, LA- It’s an exciting time to be a part of the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce. The organization was just named the 2019 Chamber of the Year by the Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives during their annual Conference held in Lake Charles last Monday. To be considered, a chamber must submit examples of growth and progress in three areas vital to an organization’s success: community development, organizational development, and professional development.
It is the goal of the LACCE Chamber of the Year Award program to recognize those chambers that have distinguished themselves and their community through excellence in chamber management. Chambers qualify as a small, mid-size, or large Chamber of Commerce. The St. Landry Chamber received the Chamber of the Year award in the small category with an application that told the story of their 100th year of serving the community.
“This is the culmination of so many incredible experiences in our 100th year as an organization,” said Raquella Manuel, CEO of the St. Landry Chamber. “We began the year with a mission and a slogan to ‘Make History’, that is what we believe our community deserves and we feel we have accomplished that through the very same initiatives that enabled us to receive this award.”
Award recipients are selected by Chamber Executives from outside the state of Louisiana and throughout the United States. LACCE is the professional development organization for chambers of commerce executives and staff members in Louisiana. LACCE equips chamber professionals with leadership development opportunities and tools to build innovative chambers.
“Many chambers have risen to the challenge to provide unparalleled leadership and direction, helping their members and communities thrive, said Tiffany Ott, President of LACCE. “This type of performance reflects the solid organizational infrastructure built through much hard work and diligence.”
